We exist in a shared world, and we face the realities that come with that. Judgement is purely on appearance, and it’s rare now to overcome that initial thought. Other people have already decided the fate of the unknown, and they will ignore what exists to reinforce their own reality. What a person carries with them is how they are judged, and they are scrutinized based on the thoughts of those around them.

Freedoms are being stripped after years of surveillance. People in power decorate themselves with cultures and prowess to uphold their alleged righteousness. Even while contained, we see the global presence of Palestinian culture and life. Liberation has become inevitable, and has taken root all over the world. We have seen people trapped, starved, and brutalized for years now, and so little is being done about it. While these horrors persist, we have seen the people if the world rise and embed Palestinian culture, history, and presence into our spaces. Liberation has become a global movement.

It hurts to live in a world so quiet, and so uncaring about the world outside of our own immediate vision. I’ve seen too much to ignore it, nor do I have any intention to. Lives are being rewritten by the whims of another. People have come from hiding to display their views against others to steal narratives of others who just want to live.
